In the course of our 32 year relationship, we have laughed…  We have cried… We have had crazy adventures…. We have danced… We have sang… We have partied like it was 1999…  And YES, we have had a break-up!!!  Over one of our most favorite things to eat too!!!  Collard greens!!

If we could go back and tell our young twenty plus year old selves that the bunch of collard green was never the real issue…  If I would have realized that collard green gate caused me to miss out on celebrating with you on graduating from Tuskegee. If I would have realized that collard green gate caused you to miss out on celebrating with me on my graduation from Tuskegee.  If I would have been realized that collard green gate caused me to not be by your side when you lost the most important person in your life.

As I think about Collard green gate, I realized that the bond that we made on that dark and wet ground floor of Olivia Davidson Hall was destined before the foundation of man. That bond was more than our young twenty something selves could really understand. I was a TOTAL ASS!

I have come to realize that even though I am the shortest of us, I have a Suge Knight personality when it comes to you.  You have one of the most purest hearts of anyone I have ever known.  You are by no means a push over but you give unconditionally. When I look at the woman that you have become… Wife, mother, educator, author, business woman…. I am so very proud of you dear friend!!!
