When I Became a Mom

November 22, 2020

Sometimes life doesn’t always work out the way we plan it.  Having a child on my own was a challenge. My husband and I made the decision adopt.  You and Kimala were there to listen to me as I went through the process.  And then we waited.  You and Kim were part of my “we”’.  On December 2, 2007, I became a mom. Hell, I was a nurse by trade but I didn’t know nothing about no babies. As always, you were there to calm my first time mom fears and doubts.

You have been there to listen to my insecurities of not being a “biological mom”.  I think I am over it all after our last talk- LOL. Randi B AKA Sandra B basically said that biological or not doesn’t give you a heads up on anything.  You gave me a real life examples that had us laughing.  Reminding me that our little people are individuals.  That motherhood has no manual.  It’s during those simple spoken and profound conversations with you that warms my heart.  It’s the Sandra B way.  Straight up with no chasers.

Love,

Beau
