Hartsfield Airport

November 20, 2020

When I think of our night in Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport, I immediately smile! ☺️ I smile not just in memory of the shenanigans we encountered by spending the night in the largest airport on the east coast at 17 and 18 years old, but of how we ended up there.  I smile because it reminds me of how thoughtful you are, just like Sandra B!  The two of you have the same kind heart, loving spirit, and business like personality! We met a mere 4 months prior, and spent many nights in your dorm room, because I was a big baby and didn’t want to live on the 3rd floor of OD! Hahaha!  You allowed me to stay with you and quickly accepted me into your family. Your mom, the wonderful Sandra B, indicated that our families would take turns getting us from Alabamba to Virginia.  My family took Thanksgiving and drove 12 hours one way to get us.  Sandra B, decided we would fly home.  I was nervous, I had never flown before, but as always, you said, “I got you!”  Little did we know that our flight left at the crack of dawn, so we needed to be there the night before, went to Pittsburgh. PA for a layover and then landed in Newport News, VA! 😝. What a night of fun, food, and taking turns napping, because we were scared as hell! This is one of my fondest memories of our early years as sister/friends!

You, my dear friend, are as wonderfully thoughtful, accommodating, and kind as your sweet mother.  I smile looking at this picture, remembering how you have always provided comfort and security to those you love. I am blessed to be one of those people!  I thank you for your love and kindness and feel so blessed to have met you and your family!

Love you! ❤ Miss Kim
