In true Randi style, you thought it would be fun for us to go skiing, and you planned a last minute ski trip to Ski Liberty (February 2000). Since it was mid-winter all of the ski clothing was gone. We found what we could on the Clearance rack. I was lucky to get a ski outfit in black. The only thing you found was an outfit in purple. You weren’t crazy about it, but you went with the flow. Now, I ain’t gonna tell who started it, but when you were traveling down the slopes in your purple, somebody called you Barney. You kept that nickname for the whole weekend.
I knew my goofy butt was going to be the first to fall on the trail. But, I didn’t know that my first fall would be as soon as I got off the ski lift. You were a true friend – you laughed your ass off! We learned a lot about ourselves that weekend. We learned that skiing was not our thing, we hate the snow, but we love the night action and libations in the ski lodge. It was a great weekend with our crew!
Thank you for doing what you do – planning an experience. Skiing is something I would not have done on my own. I appreciate you for your readiness to try new things and for looking for the next adventure. Skiing is another one of those “Randi things” I can check of the bucket list because of you 😎
