The date was Saturday, October 21 2005. We were both in attendance at one of “those events”.  The gala was scheduled to begin at 7:00pm and as I opened registration, up walked a beautiful black woman. She had on a beautiful blue gown, hair coiffed to perfection   and the warmest demeanor and welcoming smile.  I hadn’t met her before  and thought to myself, damn, the beautiful people have arrived and they’re punctual. . That was the first time that I met you Randi B and my blessing is that it was the beginning of an incredible sister-hood.  Several months later, there was a chance encounter at Lark Creek Steak and from that point going forward, I knew that we would be family and always a part of one another’s lives. Sorry, but I wasn’t going to have it any other way.  We have laughed together, cried together and ruled the world together. Our times have been amazing and here’s to our continued journey.  You have been a  blessing to me and my family and I am forever grateful.
